The Thinker

Rodin made several copies of "The Thinker."  I used to enjoy looking at the one at Columbia but never found the setting very appropriate.  They dumped it in front of Philosophy Hall just because it kinda fits but the actual space doesn't make much sense.  Stanford's copy is indoors unfortunately but at least some thought went into the setting – a modestly sized art museum filled with an impressive Rodin selection.  Below is how I imagine the sculpture.  The triangles and the symmetry blow my mind.  There's always more to find.
